
Conveniently located in east Auckland, the Tāmaki ReUse Shop offers second-hand goods at affordable prices, alongside unique upcycled treasures. We keep our prices low to make sure goods are affordable to the local community. We have plenty of items for $1, including glassware, children’s books and DIY supplies. Donate
We welcome donations of good-quality used items, including homewares, clothing, toys, books, furniture, tools, sports gear and electrical goods.

Drop off items during our Opening Hours (Thursday to Saturday 9am to 3pm).
To see if your donation is up to scratch, talk to one of our staff members. If items need repairing, cleaning or upcycling, we may charge a small fee after discussion with you.

Wai-o-Taiki Furniture Redesign
Wendy from Wai-o-Taki Furniture Redesign transforms unwanted furniture into bespoke, upcycled treasures. She specialises in hand-selected, quality vintage furniture redesigns and sustainable remodeling — giving each piece of furniture a fresh purpose and a beautiful second chance. Wendy works out of our Tāmaki Zero Waste Hub, where she also runs workshops.

Octalien
Artist Sean Boyd of Octalien creates sculptures of sci-fi objects such as ray guns using trash metal and appliances rescued from Auckland Council’s Inorganic Collection Service. Sean usually has several sci-fi themed artworks on the go and has sold his sculptures worldwide. His work is fun and playful but also social commentary on the amount of waste sent to landfills.

The Restylist
Sam Noon is a furniture restylist, specialising in upholstery and the restoration of Mid Century design, with a studio space and workshop at the Tāmaki Zero Waste Hub. Sam has a passion for breathing new life into timeless pieces of furniture, using techniques such as chalk painting, which she teaches in workshops alongside Wendy from Wai-o-Taki Furniture Redesign.

Ecomatters Bike Hub
We’re proud to partner with Ecomatters who restore bikes rescued from the Auckland Inorganic Collection service and make these available to the community at low or zero cost through their bike hubs. For more information, including where to find your nearest bike hub, visit the Ecomatters site.

The Chip Packet Project
The wonderful volunteers of the Chip Packet Project meet up every Friday at the Tāmaki Zero Waste Hub to make thermal blankets out of humble chippie packets. These blankets are given free to Kiwis living on the streets, in garages, or in cars, or anyone in the community who needs a warm night’s sleep.

Resource Rescue
Resource Rescue refurbishes appliances, including whiteware and lawnmowers, that are rescued from the Auckland Council Inorganics Collection Service or dropped off at our recycling yard, and these are donated back to the community or sold at low cost through our ReUse Store.
